Megasis rubrithoracella Barnes & McDunnough, 1913 was formerly listed listed in the genus Sarata, a name synonymized with Megasis in Leraut (2021). This treatment was overlooked by Scholtens & Hayden (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
