| Description: |
"In macrocarpae the white fascia is wider than the dark fascia's in the female, in the male wider than the basal, at least as wide as the terminal one. The male has no androconial scales. In nigriverticella the white fascia is narrower than the dark fascia's, or in the female at most as wide as the basal dark fascia. The male has extensive dark androconial scales on the hindwing." Caution: All identifications of specimens, including those dissected or DNA barcoded, should be considered tentative. The type specimen of S. nigriverticella is missing and it's true identity may be uncertain. Further investigation is needed. |
