Distribution: Open habitats in the Southwest, California, and Pacific Northwest, BC, WA, OR, CA AZ, NM, ZooKeys, 788: 167-181. Genitalia: ZooKeys, 788: 167-181; figs. 11 & 12 (♂ - gen.), 15 (♀ - gen.) Similar Species: 932924.5 Admetovis oxymorus: hindwing in is light tan, not pure white as in similaris. 932924.51 Admetovis icarus: hindwing is dark brown gray. Best separated from others in the genus by hindwing or genitalia, ZooKeys, 788: 167-181. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: similaris Barnes, 1904 (Admetovis) - MONA 1983: 10270 similis Barnes, in: Dyar, 1903 (Admetovis) Taxonomic Notes: Admetovis similaris Barnes, 1904 - The genus Admetovis was transferred from the tribe Orthosiini to the Hadenini, ZooKeys, 788: 167-181.
