Distribution: USA: TX, CO. Description/ Field Marks: Frontal protuberance is diagnostic, Lafontaine (2004), MONA Fascicle, 27.1:116; pl. 2, fig. 6. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: ruckesi Barnes & Benjamin 1927 (Mesembragrotis) - MONA 1983: 10701; Type locality: "near Alpine, Texas." Taxonomic Notes: Dichagyris ruckesi: Formerly placed in the genus Mesembragrotis.
