  • albella (Chambers, 1875) (Laverna) preocc. - MONA 1983: 1424 & 1088
    Note: Secondary junior homonym of Tinea albella Müller, 1776). This synonym was listed twice in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023) (Checklist), as "albella (Chambers, 1875) (Laverna)" and as "albella (Chambers, 1880) (Neaera), the later actually referring to a new combination, not a new species. It was also erroneously listed as a valid species twice in Hodges et al., (1983 (Checklist), as "Elachista albella (Cham., 1875)" and as "Mompha albella (Cham., 1875)". (Pohl & Nanz 2025)
  • Taxonomic Notes: Elachista adempta Braun, 1948 is a replacement name for albella Chambers, 1875 (Laverna) (preoccupied).
