Synonymy: virescens (Fabricius, 1777) (Noctua) - MONA 1983: 11071 prasina (Walker, 1857) (Xanthia) pyraloides (Walker, 1857) (Xanthia) rhexiae (Smith, 1797) (Phalaena) spectanda (Strecker, 1876) (Heliothis) viridescens (Walker, 1857) (Xanthia) Taxonomic Notes: Chloridea virescens (Fabricius, 1777) was formerly placed in the genus Heliothis. The new generic combination from Pogue (2013) is followed by Lafontaine & Schmidt (2015), Lafontaine & Schmidt, 2015: 140.
