Description/ Field Marks: Warning: examination of genitalia is typically required for species level identification of specimens in all genera of this family. Genitalia: See McDunnough (1961), Am. Mus. Novit. 2045: 16; figs. 8, 16. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: estriatella (Dietz, 1910) (Holcocera) - MONA 1983: 1182; TL: Massachusetts. simuloides (McDunnough, 1961) (Holcocerina) - MONA 1983: [1223]; TL: Lake Kejimukujik, Queens Co., Nova Scotia. Taxonomic Notes: Asaphocrita estriatella (Dietz, 1910) includes as a synonym 1223 Holcocerina simuloides McDunnough, 1961 in Adamski & Hodges (1996).
