Distribution: Indo-Australian; not found in North America north of Mexico.

Description/
Field Marks:
Base of forewings reddish brown. Wing fringe pale yellow. Wings distinctively marked with reddish brown lines between windows of pale yellow/white. Handwing patterned similarly.
Similar Species:
  • Although adults can superficially appear similar to other crambids, such as Sammea ecclesialis, O. anastomosalis has a distinctive wing pattern that can be used to confirm identity. S. ecclesialis has fewer “window panes” and the wings are dominated by dark brown markings, it has a complete dark band along the termen. O. anastomosalis has pale yellow window panes separated by conspicuous brownish-orange veins along the termen, and forewings have fewer dark markings.
