Field Marks: |
Caution: The image by Powell below, with buff head and thorax, and forewing with basal dorsal margin white mark with recurved extension along cubitus, seems likely to be misidentified, possibly californiae. The specimens was collected from Alpine Co., CA, Jul 18. Powell & Opler (2009) specifically note swarms of feniseca from that location in July. If correct, some specimens of feniseca may be indistinguishable from californiae. |
| Similar Species: |
- Glyphipterix californiae (Walsingham, 1881) has a buff colored head and forewing with basal dorsal margin white mark with recurved extension along cubitus.
- Glyphipterix sierranevadae Heppner, 1985 is best separated by genitalia.
- Glyphipterix juncivora Heppner, 1985
