Distribution: USA: MS and northern FL north to NJ; Canada:southeastern ON. Description/ Field Marks: See Royals et al. (2019), Mem. Lepid. Soc., (6): 69; Figs. 134–137, 187, 224. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: magnoliana (Kearfott, 1907) (Polychrosis) - MONA 1983: [NEW]; Lectotype: DC. Taxonomic Notes: Paralobesia magnoliana (Kearfott, 1907), previously synonymized with 2711 Paralobesia liriodendrana (Kearfott, 1904) in Heinrich (1926), is elevated to full species status in Royals et al. (2019), Mem. Lepid. Soc., (6): 69.
