Similar Species:
  • 51a0886.1 Pelochrista bolanderana: brown of forewing is comparatively solid, not reticulated as in nr. bolanderana.
  • 51a0889.1 Pelochrista hazelana: may be out of range in Arizon. The subbasl fascia of forewing runs from costa to dorsal margin, not incomplete and outwardly angled as in nr. bolanderana.

  • Taxonomic Notes: Pelochrista nr. bolanderana (Walsingham, 1879) is a possibly undescribed species found in Arizona represented at BOLD by BIN group BOLD:AAP5998.
