Description/
Field Marks:
Dorsal half of forewing shows a gap between the st. band and the black terminal line. There are usually two short coastal bars between the st. band and the pm. band and an unbroken pm. band. See illustration and full description at the Moths of North Carolina.

Similar Species:
  • 51a1373 Cydia ingens: dorsal half of forewing has no gap between the st. band and the black terminal line; usually one coastal bar between the st. band and the pm. band; pm. band broken.
  • 51a1375 Cydia piperana: is a western species.
