Synonymy: batabano (Lucas, 1857) (Eudamus) extralim. - MONA 1983: [NEW in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023)] batabano (Lucas, 1857) (Eudamus) extralim. ssp. a. okeechobee (Worthington, 1881) (Erycides)  pigmalion of authors; (not Cramer, 1779) (Papilio) misappl.  pigmalion of authors; (not Cramer, 1779) (Papilio) misappl. Taxonomic Notes: Phocides batabano (Lucas, 1857), formerly treated as a synonym of batabano Lucas, 1857, is treated as a full species in Zhang et al. (2020) with okeechobee Worthington, 1881 as a subspecies. "True" batabano is extralimital north of Mexico.
