Synonymy: bubastus (Stoll, in: Cramer, [1780]) (Papilio) excl. peruensis (Dufrane, 1939) (Thecla) excl. Taxonomic Notes: Strymon bubastus (Stoll, in: Cramer, [1780]), a species not found north of Central America, includes the synonym peruensis (Dufrane, 1939), a name misapplied by Miller & Brown (1981) to a report from NA (Pelham 2008).
