Distribution: AZ Similar Species: "Perola clara" specimens found north of Mexico may refer to an unknown species. DNA barcode separates AZ specimens of Perola from P. clara by over 4%. Alternatively, it might turn out that both P. clara and a similar unknown Perola species occur in Arizona. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: clara Dyar, 1907 (Perola)   Type locality: Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, Mexico. Taxonomic Notes: Perola clara Dyar, 1907 is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico (Arizona), reported by Jason Dombroskie.
