Distribution: USA: Long Island, NY south to FL and west to NE and central TX. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: obscuralis (Lederer, 1863) (Botys) - MONA 1983: 5268 Taxonomic Notes: Psara obscuralis (Lederer, 1863) may be a complex based on DNA barcode.
