Distribution: USA: western TX, NM; Mexico. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: bolterellus (Fernald, 1887) (Crambus) - MONA 1983: 5452; Holotype: Texas. Taxonomic Notes: Thaumatopsis bolterellus (Fernald, 1887), n. comb. (Landry 1995), was formerly in the genus Parapediasia.
