Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: coortaria (Hulst, 1887) (Thamnonoma) - MONA 1983: 6299 enigmata (Barnes & McDunnough, 1917) (Itame) Taxonomic Notes: Macaria coortaria (Hulst, 1887), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
