Synonymy: colata Grote 1881 (Phasiane) - MONA 1983: 6308 correllatum Hulst 1896 (Selidosema) sericeata Hulst 1898 (Diastictis) Taxonomic Notes: Macaria colata (Grote, 1881), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
