Synonymy: hebetata (Hulst, 1881) (Phasiane) - MONA 1983: 6394; TL: Colorado. innotata (Cassino & Swett, 1923) (Phasiane); TL: Monachee Meadows, Tulare Co., CA. tulareata (Cassino & Swett, 1923) (Phasiane); TL: Davis Creek, Modoc Co., CA. Taxonomic Notes: Digrammia hebetata (Hulst, 1881), rev. stat. (Ferguson, 2008), previously referred to ssp. ponderosa Barnes & McDunnough, which included as synonyms ponderosa Barnes & McDunnough and ponderosa form demaculata Barnes & McDunnough, and ssp. tulareata Cassino & Swett, which included form innotata Cassino & Swett. Ferguson recognized that what was thought to be ssp. ponderosa actually referred to rippertaria Duponchel.
