Distribution: Possible restricted to the southern Rockies with outliers representing misidentified decoloraria.
Similar Species:
  • 91a0427 Xanthorhoe decoloraria: aside from possibly range, cannot at present be distinguished from alticolata except by the long pectinations of the male antennae which are very short in for the latter.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
