Distribution: Type locality: Kentucky, Wisconsin. Larva and Host Plants: Hickory Similar Species: Phyllonorycter olivaeformis (Braun, 1908): white color of the basal white streak typically does not extend to inner margin. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Lithocolletis caryaealbella Chambers, 1871 • Lithocolletis caryalbella Walsingham, 1891
