Distribution: USA: TX, eastern NM. Description/ Field Marks: Front of head grayish. Similar Species: Pygarctia roseicapitis (Neumoegen & Dyar, 1893), front of head white. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: lorula Dyar, 1914 (Pygarctia) - MONA 1983: 8252   Type locality: Cotype: two males, two females, Kerville, TX; Sabinal, TX; San Antonio, TX.
