Description/
Field Marks:
Original description states "Fore wings yellow white..." while Poole states "The basal half of the forewing is pure white."
Similar Species:
  • Ponometia virginalis (Grote, 1881)
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy:
  • binocula (Grote, 1875) (Tarache) - MONA 1983: 9089
      Type locality: "Texas, Mr. Belfrage, No. 112. Bastrop Co., Mr. Meske.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Ponometia binocula: Formerly placed in the genus Tarachidia, ZooKeys, 39: 1-160.
