Distribution: |
West and north of Great Basin. Disjunct population in Cypress Hills of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Coniferous forests, in particular but not confined to Douglas-fir forests. Elevations ~ sea-level to near tree-line. |
Larva and Host Plants: |
Conifers. |
Description/ Field Marks: |
Highly variable in both size and color. |
