Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: latifascia (Walker, 1856) (Prodenia) - MONA 1983: 9670; TL: Jamaica. variolosa (Walker, 1857) (Prodenia) Taxonomic Notes: Spodoptera latifascia (Walker, 1856) formerly included as a synonym S. cosmioides (Walker, 1858). Pogue (2002) treated cosmiodes [sic] as a the valid name for the South American population following Silvain & Lalanne-Cassou (1997).
