Distribution: Canada: AB, YT; USA: CO. (BOLD)
As of 2024, the only DNA barcoded specimens at BOLD attributed to this species are from the Yukon, far from the type locality. The Yukon population has forewing maculation similar to that of the holotype, but the dark markings are more expanded to the point of blending with each other. While the YT population may represent a distinct species, MPG tentatively includes it here pending further study,
