Synonymy: apateticana (McDunnough, 1922) (Argyroploce) - MONA 1983: 2764   Type locality: Holotype: Ottawa, QC. deceptana (McDunnough, 1922) (Argyroploce) Taxonomic Notes: Apotomis apateticana (McDunnough, 1922) was originally described under the name Argyroploce deceptana McDunnough, 1922 which determined to be a junior homonym.
