Phiaris bipunctana (Fabricius, 1794) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico in Landry et al, (2013), Zootaxa, 3749(1): 41.
This species includes as a synonym Phiaris castorana (McDunnough, 1922), formerly a synonym of 2847 Olethreutes glaciana, in Nedoshivina (2016). Formerly placed in Olethreutes, the current generic treatment follows Aarvik (2017). |
