Distribution: USA: southeastern AZ.
Description/
Field Marks:
"M. interalbicalis Rag. - 15 mm - male; - Upper wings white, heavily washed with pale brownish in places, at the base, along the inner body, and along the second line on both sides occupying the entire narrow terminal space, except near the apex ; the coast is more lightly washed with brownish, but we see an oblique brown spot, which indicates the birth of the first line, the continuation of which is very indistinct. Second line very close together and parallel to the external edge, with a sinus entering the discoidal fold, a little bent in the middle posteriorly, whitish, bordered on the internal side, and crossed obliquely near the rib by a short blackish brown streak. The veins are finely indicated in brown and at the subcostal in the white cell a large brown, oval spot is attached, which does not reach the midrib. The long fringe is blackish gray, paler at the base. Very pale brownish gray lower wings, white fringe. Underside of the wings are plain gray. Head, thorax and antennae brownish, abdomen ochraceous gray, palps gray, maxillary palps blackish." (Google translation of Ragonot, 1891))
