Distribution: Southeastern Canada and northeastern US west to Manitoba and Nebraska. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: carneella Hulst 1887 (Nephopteryx) - MONA 1983: 5798; Type locality: New Mexico. (Apparently erroneous, Neunzig (2003); Heinrich (1956) suggested Maine.) inquilinella Ragonot 1887 (Nephopteryx)
