Synonymy: albovittella (Hulst, 1890) (Pinipestis) - MONA 1983: 5859; TL: Hot Springs, NM (treated as a lapsus in Barnes and McDunnough (1918) and Heinrich (1956)). Lectotype: Colorado. Distribution: CO, UT, NM, AZ, NV, CA. Host Plants: Shropshire & Tallamy (2025) [accessed 6xii2025]: Host familiy: Pinaceae.  Host genera: Pinus.  Notes: bore into cones (Keen 1958); cones, shoots (Roe et al 2011). Similar  : Species 80a0350 Dioryctria inyoensis 80a0352 Dioryctria sierra 80a0342 Dioryctria hodgesi Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
