Synonymy: dophnerella Ragonot 1887 (Sarata); Type locality: California dophnerella Ragonot 1893 (Sarata) Taxonomic Notes: Megasis dophnerella (Ragonot, 1887) was formerly listed listed in the genus Sarata, a name synonymized with Megasis in Leraut (2021). This treatment was overlooked by Scholtens & Hayden (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
