Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: edwardsialis Hulst 1886 (Megaphysis); Type locality: California polyphemella Ragonot 1893 (Megasis) Taxonomic Notes: Megasis edwardsialis Hulst, 1886 was formerly listed listed in the genus Sarata, a name synonymized with Megasis in Leraut (2021). This treatment was overlooked by Scholtens & Hayden (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
