Larva and Host Plants: Scales in the superfamily Coccoidea. Genitalia: Wing length 5.0-8.5 mm. (Neunzig 1990) Similar Species: Amyelois transitella (Walker, 1863) is usually larger but is apparently best separated by genitalia, DNA, or host. Pinned specimens of related species.
