    Note: rev. stat. (Neunzig 1997); formerly a synonym of Laetilia coccidivora (Comstock, 1879).
  • Distribution: USA: NM, AZ, southern NV, southern CA (Neunzig 1997); CA, CO, AZ, TX (BIN URI: BOLD:AAH4784).
    Host Plants: Shropshire & Tallamy (2025) [accessed 6xii2025]: Host familiy: Dactylopiidae[Insecta] Kermesidae[Insecta] Cactaceae[secondary].  Host genera: Dactylopius[Insecta] Kermes[Insecta] Opuntia[secondary].  Notes: scales associated with Opuntia (Powell & Opler 2009); scale associated with Quercus (Neunzig 1997).
    Description: Patch of scales on forewing just distad of antemedial line completely or mostly black in costal half and mostly pale brown in posterior half; hindwing darker (plate 1, figures 3-5) (Neunzig 1997).
