Synonymy: pallida Comstock 1880 (Dakruma) basimaculatella Ragonot 1887 (Vitula) Taxonomic Notes: Baphala pallida (Comstock, 1880) includes as a synonym [5965] Baphala basimaculatella (Raganot, 1887) in Neunzig (1997), MONA, Fascicle 15.4: p. 33. Roesler (1967) treated the genus Baphala pallida as a synonym of Baphala but the treatment in Neunzig (1997) is followed here.
