Description/ Field Marks: "Fore wings blackish brown with a broad white costal stripe; inner area a little lighter, especially toward base. Expanse 11 mm." (Dyar 1905). Similar Species: Homosassa ella (Hulst, 1887) has longer straight labial palpi. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: affinitella Dyar 1905 (Barberia) - MONA 1983: 6036; Type locality: "Brownsville, Texas, Los Borregos"
