Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: quietalis (Walker, 1859) (Scoparia)   Type locality: Dominican Republic, St. Domingo ["Domingo"]. confusalis (Hulst, 1886) (Desmia) gordialis of authors; not Guenée, 1854 (Asciodes) misappl. Taxonomic Notes: Asciodes quietalis (Walker, 1859), formerly a synonym of [5267] Asciodes gordialis Guenée, 1854, is raised to full species in Landry (2016). "True" gordialis is extralimital north of Mexico.
