Distribution: North Carolina and Kentucky to Florida, Gulf States, Arkansas and Texas. Seasonality and Size: May - September flight period. ~ 20-25mm wingspan. Similar Species: See notes at 5148 - E. disparilis, am. line of hindwing is broken not continuous. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: fenestralis (Hübner, [1796]) (Pyralis) huronalis (Guenée, 1854) (Samea) serinalis (Walker, 1859) (Phalangiodes) Taxonomic Notes: Epipagis fenestralis (Hübner, 1796) an unused senior synonym, replaces 5147 Epipagis huronalis (Guenée, 1854) in Munroe (1995).
