  • Taxonomic Notes: Evergestis palousalis Munroe, 1974, described as subspecies of Evergestis obscuralis Barnes & McDunnough, 1914, becomes a replacement name for the later, a junior secondary homonym due to the transfer of Lygropia obscuralis Hampson, 1912 to the genus Evergestis (Munroe 1995: 52; note 44). E. p. obscuralias Munroe, 1995 was proposed as a replacement name for the former nominate subspecies.
