Distribution: Southeastern OR and western NV east to Alameda Co., CA and south to Baja California, Mexico - Rindge, 1976. Description/ Field Marks: "This species can be separated from californiaria by the upper surface of the forewings being paler and less contrasting in color than in that species, and by the less prominent s. t. line..."; FWL: 12-20mm - Am. Mus. Novit., 2595: 20. Genitalia: See Am. Mus. Novit., 2595: 1-27, figs. 21 (♂), 33 (♀). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: diva Hulst, 1896 (Plataea) - MONA 1983: 6925   Type locality: Lectotype: Argus Mountains, Inyo, CA - see Rindge, 1976: fig. 25.
