  • Taxonomic Notes: Alabama argillacea (Hübner, 1823): This migrant pest of cotton (Gossypium spp.; Malvaceae) was once abundant in southeastern USA, with historic mass northward incursions documented to at least southern ON. It has not been seen in NA since 1998 (Wagner 2009) (contributed by JDY). (Schmidt (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
