Distribution: Southern TX (tentative).
Description/
Field Marks:
Druce (1881-1900) states, "This species was described from three very faded specimens. Mons. C. Oberthür informs me that the types are not to be found, and that they were most probably destroyed during the later years of Guenée's life, when his collection was much neglected."
Similar Species:

Synonymy:
  • infans (Guenée, 1852) (Brujas); TL: Mexico.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Hemeroblemma infans (Guenée, 1852), a Mexican species, was tentatively recognized within the North American fauna, one specimen collected in Hidalgo Co., TX in 2020 by Michael Overton. This species is omitted by Schmidt (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023), no evidence of resident population.
