  • Toxonprucha psegmapteryx (Dyar, 1913) is easily distinguished by male genitalia and DNA barcode.
  • Toxonprucha repentis (Grote, 1881) has a similar wing pattern but is darker and more distinctly marked.

Synonymy:
  • n. sp. 1
  • Taxonomic Notes: Toxonprucha n. sp. 1 is a cryptic, likely undescribed species from western Texas represented at BOLD by BIN: BOLD:AAK1914. DNA barcode places this species near T. repentis.
