Distribution: USA: Arizona. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: procida Druce 1889 (Metoponia); Type locality: Mexico, Tierra Colorada in Guerrero nepotica Dyar 1912 (Stiriodes); Type locality: Mexico, Oaxaca, Salina Cruz umbria Dyar 1898 (Metoponia) Taxonomic Notes: Azenia procida (Druce, 1889) is raised from synonymy of 9726 A. edentata Grote, 1883 to full species status and includes as a synonym A. nepotica (Dyar, 1912 in Lafontaine & Schmidt (2011), Zookeys, 149: 148.
