Larva and Host Plants: Feverwort (Triosteum). Similar Species: Sympistis chionanth larvae feed on ash (Fraxinus sp.). Adults typically have more white scaling on thorax, costal margin, wing base, and orbicular and reniform spots but identification is unreliable. Pinned specimens of related species.
