Distribution: Southern Washington southward to Ventura Co., California at elevations ~ 5.400 - 6,320 ft. in dry mid-elevation forests. (Troubridge 2008) Seasonality and Size: Late July - August. Wingspan ~ 28-32 mm. Similar Species: Also see 10113.2 - Sympistis sokar. Separate by habitat. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: dischorda Troubridge 2008 (Sympistis); Type locality: Holotype: California, Jackson Cr., Plumas Co Taxonomic Notes: Sympistis dischorda Troubridge, 2008, n. sp., Zootaxa, 1903:1-95.
