Note: T. fistula was described as "olivaceous, not tinged with red". The synonym ulamora Smith was originally described from San Diego as a species similar to fistula but with reddish brown primaries. It may prove to be a good subspecies or possibly even a full species. Specimens collected by Norris Bloomfield from San Diego County which seem to match the original description are placed in a BIN group narrowly separated from the BIN for fistula |
