Distribution: Southeastern Canada and northeastern US following distribution of Pinus strobus (White Pine). Larva and Host Plants: Pinus strobus Similar Species: 933586 Xestia dilucida 933583 Xestia elimata 933585 Xestia praevia Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: badicollis (Grote, 1873) (Ammoconia) - MONA 1983: 10968; TL: Albany, NY. Taxonomic Notes: Xestia badicollis (Grote, 1873) was previously placed in the genus Anomogyna, a name treated as a synonym of Xestia subgenus Pachnobia in Lafontaine (1998).
